    So guys I've perfected stephen Lee's deep screw and id like to finally give in my intake on it as ive put in over a year of countless hours practicing nothing but the deep screw tables lenght and now even, 2 tables lenght combined. . I play regular American pool as where I'm from (Texas) they don't have 12 footers. The tables I play in are 9 footers max and I gotta say, it's much Harder to generate the deep screw playing American pool as the balls are way heavier and bigger. Where to begin. It all began when I watched ronnie o sullivan 2 years ago. I started with what they call the pressure grip (Ronnie's grip). While It did allowed me to be more precise with long shots, it lacked that finesse for deep screw. After months and months of practicing with the pressure grip I could only generate half the tables length and sometimes full tables length. Not all the time but sometimes. And I'd get sweaty as I had to use more brute force for speed. And even so my left shoulder started hurting after a while. Was this normal? Hell no. I also am a bit overweight as I bulked and took it too far. I'm not as heavy or even near at all as stephen lee but well get to that later on this thread. At first I thought it all had to do with the grip. I was mistaken. The grip is only half of it. Then I went through a plateau where I couldn't get that effect where the cue ball hits the object ball, stops for a second, then wizzes back. That's the perfect screw back that very few can generate and I am glad to say now I do it all the time. But how did I get there? Well in that plateau, my left shoulder was always hurting, and I thought it had to do with my weight. But then a year later I saw stephen lee who is probably 3 times heavier than me. (Not trying to be rude) but so yall can get an idea. And I asked myself why is it that he doesn't suffer from shoulder pain or leg pain or even hip pain as the snooker stance can be very uncomfortable if you don't do it text book. (I would suggest to watch barry stark on UA-cam as he shows the perfect snooker stance). Anyways, I started paying attention to his technique. He uses what they call the timing grip. Which in other words if you pay attention in the video he detailed shows how when the cue strokes back the fingers open very loose and then you follow through all the way touching the chest. That's key. The chest contact. Then I tried it and guess what? I was still not getting it right. But at least I was generating more screw back. But not where I wanted to be. So then what could it be next? Well it happens so that all the time it had to with the stance all over again. See without me noticing, (i am right handed player so my left leg is bent and my right leg is dead straight stiff), I wasn't getting the right stance as I thought I was. My legs were fine, but the way they were placed on the floor pointing was off. So I found out a few things that stopped my shoulder pain and even allowed me for the perfect screw back. When looking at the cue ball. Alignt the cue stick to the direction of the cue ball straight and put your heel on that line of the shot. Then the left leg put it straight to the side of the right leg (for right handed players). Not above the right foot, at least not yet. Again. Don't bend over too. Start standing dead straight, then move the right foot pointing straight to the line of the shot. Then the left foot is evenly to the side of your right foot. That's key. Then you bend over and as you bend over twist your right hip backwards as that's what will naturally will happen as you bend down and then the left leg will have a slight bend. Make sure lastly that both feet are dead straight pointing to the shot. This will allow for way more precision and no discomfort on the shoulders, hips, and legs. Trust me on this as I've put in so much time perfecting the stance. Then you apply stephen Lee's stroke to that and I promise you will get that deep screw you've always wanted. And no miscues either. I hope this helps anyone and if yall got questions I always reply back.

      @@papinikkyvlogs1451 screwing full length on a 9ft pool table is an absolute cakewalk compared to screw on a snooker table, the cloth is completely different. its far easier on a pool table even with the heavier balls. the snooker deep screw requires masterful technique.. a player would never get that deep screw using the typical pool players cue action.

    • @papinikkyvlogs1451
      @papinikkyvlogs1451 Рік тому

      @@gnrslash1987 agreed. A couple weeks ago I went to this new place they opened around my area called hangout. I generated the deep screw full tables length (I even recorded it). What helped me get that in under 10 minutes was that I always preferred the snooker style and stance over American Pool. I had trainers going off on me for having this snooker style but I think they just hate the fact that snooker style is more about finesse than anything. Like you mentioned, complete mastery of technique. It’s amazing to whoever can generate that. And you’re right, the cloth def is different

    Kecik main cun juga tapi safety kurang. Kalau dia dah leading 70 mata ke atas baru la dia boleh main tuju tanpa placing. Dia rugi bila tuju tak masuk dan James boleh makan bola merah dan kemudian hitam dekat poket hujung tu. Saya pernah tonton exhibition match James dgn Sam Chong kat Bukit Bintang, sekitar akhir 1980-an atau awal 1990-an, saya tak berapa pasti. James tak main safety, dia pecah kelompok bola merah kuat sangat. Sam Chong menang. Mereka lawan di tempat terbuka semacam lobi bangunan depan terlalu ramai penonton. Cahaya pula tak cerah mungkin menyebabkan James tak concentrate.

  • @sulaimanabdullah3419
    @sulaimanabdullah3419 Рік тому

    Masih lemah di segi placing. Safety mesti cue ball jauh dari bola yang lawan nak tuju. Bila kita sendiri nak tuju kena letak cue ball betul-betul dekat bola nak kita tuju. Ini petua MESTI buat. Goyang jangan, teragak-agak jangan. Saya dah lama tak main snooker. Saya rajin main masa 1980-an dan highest break saya pun setakat 59 ja. 🙂🙂🙂
